This is a great story on home auctions that appeared in the St. Petersburg Times.... and I can testify from my own experience with auctions, this is EXACTLY right on! Obviously some houses are selling - or the auctions wouldn't be in business - but the overwhelming appearance that a mass number of homes selling at fire-sale prices is quite misleading. Enjoy:
